I love this recipe. It is so simple and so flavorful! It’s one of those recipes I just threw together one night because I was too exhausted for a high maintenance dinner and it’s been a staple in our household ever since!
Supporting the health and well being of children and their families in our community has always been a passion of Mason and I. One of our new favorite traditions in Virginia is supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with Trump Winery.
We LOVE Trump Winery for many reasons, but this is the main reason—they raise SO MUCH money for St. Jude by giving up their time freely on the weekends to host events and fund raise.
I wish I had a dime for every time someone said, “you look tired,” to me this week at work. AND IT WAS IT’S ONLY TUESDAY. I’d be retired at 25 like I’ve always jokingly said. All aboard the USS I’m exhausted!
It’s Monday, so I thought I would start with a very simple, easy, and delicious! I have posted his salad a million times on Instagram but I’ve never share the whole recipe. This the OG way I make the salad. One of the reasons I love this salad is that the flavors blend so well together and you have the opportunity to mix it with “add-ins” get creative and try new flavors.
We started Independence Day celebrations early on Sunday with a patriotic party! I had such a fun time decorating with American antiques, I had even more fun hunting for the antiques all around Virginia. We had an all-American feast with mini apple pies, hot dogs, and more!
It’s pouring down rain at 7 P.M. on a Tuesday night and I’m at the fanciest restaurant in town with a glass (or two), of champagne listening to Etta James, working. (: I dare anyone to rain on my parade right now.
Ideal: Rocking a Ronald Reagan tee and playing with my dog Thatcher (yes, named after the Iron Lady), on a warm Virginia day. This outfit and weather has me ready for an All-American Summer! Let’s party like it’s 1776!
Last week, I had a revelation about work. Rather, I was reminded why we work and why we as Christians are called to work. One of God’s greatest callings to work is being a Mother—and I believe I have the greatest one.
Dean & Deluca has always been a special place to me. My Meme took me on my first trip to New York City when I was 15 years old. One of our very first stops was Dean & Deluca at Rockafeller Center (that location no longer exists).
I’m usually excited for Friday, but it’s budget season and I wish the days were a little longer! Today, we had a networking event at my property and here’s what I wore. It’s of course, from Banana Republic. (:
Whoa. Thursday was INTENSE in my professional world. Meetings, conference calls, and a bomb threat to top it all off. Always ready. Always prepared. Always put together. Today’s dress was comfortable. stylish, and professional.
Hump Day! I had an intense physical therapy session this morning before work, so that meant a top knot was in order for my hairstyle today. As for the rest, I was feeling spunky and ready to put on a hardhat and view some construction zones with my team!
It’s Tuesday and I actually woke up early enough to do yoga and get my tea at Starbucks. I’m basic, I know. I had a long day of conference calls and meetings, so my attire needed to be comfy with my hair out of my face so I could be nose to the grindstone!
I’m a big believer of, when you look your best, your feel your best, and when you feel your best, you do your best. “Business professional,” and “business casual,” are way too casual these days in my opinion. I’m going to walk you through a whole week of professional dress! Let’s go, Monday!
LOVE this dress by Vineyard Vines Kentucky Derby Collection. Vineyard Vines has been the official style of the Kentucky Derby for nine years! The Derby Collection is always one of my favorites with bright colors and bold prints, and of course seersucker and lace, what’s not to love?
I’m no expert, but my first tip is, don’t google, “interview tips,” because you’re going to drown in an overload of basic information like, “wear a blazer and make sure your perfume isn’t too strong.” Duh! So here’s five interview tips, from me, that you probably didn’t think of.
