Breakfast at Katie's

Breakfast at Tiffany’s? Nah, Breakfast at Katie’s is better. Not to pat myself on the back here, (pat), I’ve eaten quite well all week, so today I really wanted to indulge in breakfast with two of my favorite dishes. I enjoy cooking, so I cranked up the music, made a mimosa, and got to it!

French Press Coffee

…or your doing it wrong. Once you master the perfect French Press Coffee, you’ll never see your old Keurig or coffee pot again.

First, off you have to start with delicious whole coffee beans. I love getting mine from The Fresh Market and JBC Coffee Roasters (thanks to a recommendation!) Grind time! Grind your desired amount of beans, coarsely and pour into the french press. Boil desired amount of filtered water in a kettle on the stove and pour into the fresh press just before the kettle whistles. Give it a gentle stir and let steep for at least 8 minutes. Gently press all the coffee grounds down and enjoy heaven.

Mini Quiche

I’m obsessed with mini food items, okay?

These are so fun to make—plus you can personalize the quiche fillings to please your whole crew. Click here for the recipe!

Fruit. Fruit. Fruit.

I just always have to have a little fruit at breakfast, weather it’s whole or a smoothie. Breakfast just isn’t breakfast for me without fruit.

Mimosas for all!

Did you even indulge if prosecco wasn’t involved?!

La Marca is my favorite prosecco for mimosa making. Here’s my recipe for the perfect mimosa: Fill your champagne flute to the top with prosecco and add a very mini splash of orange juice. Kidding! Kind of…not really. That’s why breakfast at Katie’s is so great!

Set Your Table

Setting the table is a lost art form in my opinion. Set your dang table, make your significant other polish you silverware and iron your dinner napkins. They might love you for it, or think you’re insane. Or both.
