We started Independence Day celebrations early on Sunday with a patriotic party! I had such a fun time decorating with American antiques, I had even more fun hunting for the antiques all around Virginia. We had an all-American feast with mini apple pies, hot dogs, and more!
Breakfast at Tiffany’s? Nah, Breakfast at Katie’s is better. Not to pat myself on the back here, (pat), I’ve eaten quite well all week, so today I really wanted to indulge in breakfast with two of my favorite dishes. I enjoy cooking, so I cranked up the music, make a mimosa, and got to it!
Today, I was rummaging through an antique booth at an event we are having at my property, and I found the most amazing vintage, worn, and torn book on sporting dogs. Most of the pages were torn apart from the binding and sprawled out on a table. I searched and rummaged until I found what I was looking for: The Golden Retriever page.
Mason and I hosted a little Wine + Cheese Soiree this weekend with some of our sweet and dear friends we haven’t seen in a while. Here’s a little recap along with some Katie rule’s on how to host the perfect Wine + Cheese Soiree.
Since I’m still a “twenty-something,” I haven’t quite mastered Christmas dinner, yet, but I have mastered Christmas, or Christmas Eve, brunch.
Brunch is my favorite everything because there are no rules. You can have breakfast food, you can have dinner food, you can have endless mimosas, seafood, pasta, cheese, you name it! That’s why I LOVE brunch, whether dining out, or making a fun spread at home.
